We have recorded talent in diverse locations from remote islands in the South Pacific to the West End of Newcastle. We
have navigated Surf, Wind and Traffic noises to create Pristine Recordings of Very Talented People. So who are we - well we
are;
Tony Martin (A&R and Marketing) is a well known figure in the industry. Tony has worked closely with Ivor Novello
Award winning musicians, and has promoted some amazing talent not only in the UK but in diverse locations such as Thailand
(where Tony now resides)
Andrew Laidler (Music Production) is a classically trained musician blessed (or cursed) with perfect pitch. Andrew has
a talent for orchestration and choral music, but is equally at home with jazz, blues and pop.
Dominic Purdue (Lyric and Engineering) is an afficionado of tape based recording equipment and keeps four legendary tape
machines running in the Studio. Our Sony 3348 for example once belonged to Sony Classical Division and is the machine used
to record Luciano Pavarotti and the Prague Symphony Orchestra.
We understand the need for change too and we have two Pro-Tools rigs and associated equipment capable of 192 kHz recording.
We can mix in the box, or we can mix digitally via cascaded 02R's fed directly from 48 Sony outboard converters which
use the legendary Ultra Analog Inc analog front end circuitry used extensively by Manley Laboratories. Or we can stay in the
Analog domain for mixing via a Yamaha GA 24/12.
We have Analog microphones by Neumann, as well as Digital microphones by Beyerdynamic. Our recordings are crystal clear
and fabulously detailed.
